Our Domaine de Drancourt Campsite, in particular is located near Saint-Valery-sur-Somme, one of the most beautiful villages in France. Get ready to have your mind blown by all the beauty! Just a glimpse of the marina is enough to whet your appetite. You would be forgiven for wishing to focus your trip on the “lower town”, where you can take a walk along the canal of the Somme, to admire the brightly-coloured fisherpeople’s houses, the old stonework, restaurants, and terrace cafés… Not to mention a charming a little beach, hidden at the edge of the dock. It is easy to see why this place enchanted many an Impressionists, such as Boudin, Degas, Seurat… But while you’re focusing on all that, don’t forget to keep your eye out for the medieval centre! Trust us, it is well worth a visit! This superb, preserved centre offers tourist some truly breathtaking views of the Baie de Somme!
For you curious campers out there, make the most of your stay at our Domaine de Drancourt campsite to hop on the famous Baie de Somme tourist train, that links Saint-Valery-sur-Somme to the seaside resort of Crotoy thanks to a charming little steam train! We also highly recommend a visit to the chateau de Chantilly, the Parc du Marquenterre, The Abbey and the Valloires gardens, the Notre Dame D’Amiens Cathedral, the Jules Verne House, the village of Jobs of the Past, and its Motobecane bike museum, the Hortillonnages floating gardens and more.
