Our history

Yukadi Villages may soon be reaching adulthood, but we make sure our inner child still leads the way!
Discover the history and milestones of the Yukadi Villages camping chain. Founded in 2006, Yukadi Villages dedicated themselves to exclusively fixing and highlighting campsites that were located in high-quality sites, in order to guarantee exceptional holiday experiences for our customers.
Yukadi Villages may have officially seen the light of day in 2006, but the project was conceived three years prior in 2003, with the purchase of Le Logis Campsite in Charente-Maritime by Annemiek and Stéphane Cleach, the founding couple of Yukadi Villages. The campsite was a large establishment with outdated facilities, but an undeniable charm. It would take several years of hard, intense work to make the campsite as good as new. And only then did the couple consider adding some new features. And so, the team dived in… From the very beginning, the couple’s goal was to create exceptional and unique holiday experiences for campers, with the help of a large array of services and facilities, as well as plenty of activities for big and little campers alike.
Over the years, Yukadi Villages has extended its presence throughout the whole of France, by setting up camp, so to speak, in exceptional nature sites and creating more and more diverse offers in order to create a larger clientele demographic. In 2011, the opportunity to buy up Le Domaine de Drancourt Campsite presented itself. Was it a worthy risk to recuperate and renovate this sleepy establishment, located almost the other end of France, in Baie de Somme? Plus, as a company with a main, fixed focus in Charente Maritime, was it worth the risk to transform ourselves into a larger group, or were we biting off more than we could chew? But the charm and appeal of the location eventually won us over…
Then, one by one, they all came pouring in: Le Moténo (Plouhinec – dep. 56) joined us in 2019, followed by Le Parc Sainte Brigitte (La Turballe – dep. 44) in 2021, Les Couleurs de la Coubre in 2022 (Les Mathes – La Palmyre – dep. 17) and finally, the Parc du Val de Loire en 2023 (Mesland – dep. 41).
Today, Yukadi Villages is well-known for its innovation in the open-air hotel sector, but without compromising our values respecting the environment, highlighting cultural heritage, and shining a spotlight on local terror…In the field of the Open-Air Hospitality Industry, the home of the top, powerful hotel chains, Yukadi Villages has stuck to its main, simple principles:
- The customer comes first
- Constantly keeping up the values of our close-knit, friendly company
- Developing stunning campsites located in the heart of beautiful, preserved nature
- And, our commitment since the beginning, reducing as much as possible the impact our activities gave on the environment
In December, Yukadi Villages purchased the Val de Loire Campsite, a 5-star establishment located in Mesland, in Loir-et-Cher, near to some of the most stunning and most renowned Châteaux of the Loire.
